AUDIT/CONSULTING

 

Auditing and consulting in rock blasting projects and operations, underground and open-pit blasting, civil construction and others. Nitro evaluates several parameters, from geology, marking, inclination, deviations, filling, mesh, hole depth, minimum efficient plug, initiation sequence, relief, explosive condition, boosters, among others.


OPTIMIZATION (MINE-TO-MILL)

 

Also known as mine-to-mill or mine-to-crusher, it consists of a complete analysis of the entire comminution process, from drilling, firing plan and all subsequent processes, such as loading, transportation, crushing and grinding, in order to better utilize energy and reduce the overall production cost. NITRO performs mapping for continuous improvement, identification of production bottlenecks; Toyota Production System (Lean Production/Just-in-Time (JIT); Theory of Constraints (TOC), Value Stream Mapping (VSM); Workplace Management (WMM), to calculate operational efficiency.

 
ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL

 

Measures to control and prevent vibration, noise, ultra-launch, gas and dust in rock blasting, especially in situations close to communities, in accordance with Brazilian standard NBR 9653:2018, ISEE, etc. Based on seismic monitoring, Nitro builds a specific equation explaining the attenuation of vibration over distance, thus predicting the ideal quantity of explosives, or maximum load per hold, in order to generate minimum vibrations (Vibration Attenuation Equation) .

Audit of explosive formulations, feasibility analysis in the implementation of explosives plants.
 

BUILDING A RELATIONSHIP OF TRUST WITH THE COMMUNITY

 

We have experience in critical situations involving the relationship between companies and neighboring communities, assisting in dialogue and raising awareness about the use of explosives, in addition to offering legal support.

PRE AND POST EVALUATION IN CONSTRUCTION (PRECAUTIONARY REPORT)

 

Diagnostics of the condition of buildings in the vicinity of mining and civil engineering works. In this way, all pre-existing cracks and damage are documented before and after the use of explosives. We have engineers and experts specialized in building pathology to ensure legal security.

DRILLING DEVIATION AND PROFILING EVALUATION

Assessment of drilling straightness and free face, identifying possible hole deviations, excessive or insufficient burden/distance. Used to ensure maximum fragmentation, without “kickback”, without ultra-launching and minimum vibration.

3D MODELING BY PHOTOGRAMMETRY

Bench/face modeling by 3D photogrammetry. The advantage of using photogrammetry is the ability to visualize structures and discontinuities together with the 3D model. The blaster receives a report before loading the holes, with areas where there are problems in the distribution of explosives (possible overshoot, rebound, etc.), and can thus make modifications to the loading, avoiding unnecessary risks.

FRAGMENTATION ANALYSIS AND DETONATED VOLUME

Assessment of the size of rock blocks after dismantling by aerial 3D photogrammetry with drone, estimating their real granulometric distribution! The in situ and dismantled volume is also obtained.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING

Filming and photography to evaluate the fire plan, spacing, clearance, buffer, initiation sequence, nitrous gas generation, etc. Aerial filming in 2.7 or 4K quality, Anatel certified drones.

BOREHOLE ENDOSCOPE CAMERA

Special cameras for photography and/or internal filming of boreholes: assesses rock quality, porosity, water, fractures, etc.

VOD

Measuring the quality of explosive formulations and optimal initiation by velocity of detonation (VoD), checking whether the explosive is detonating or deflagrating.

DELAY SPREADING

Measurement of the actual burning time of delay fuses, both shock tube (nonel – non-electric) and detonating cord, among others. This information prevents the simultaneous initiation of holes, i.e. vibration and fragmentation problems.
